This innovative teeth straightening treatment works in a similar way to traditional braces, with a system of clear brackets bonded to your teeth and tooth-coloured wires placed and adjusted by your dentist, to align your teeth over time.
The treatment is quick because Six Months Smiles are easier for your dentist to fit, thanks to custom trays that help them place the new braces on your teeth.
1. Visit Kreate Dental Rugby or Dartford for an initial consultation, where your dentist will assess your dental health and discuss suitable teeth straightening options with you.
2. If you are suitable and decide to go ahead with Six Month Smiles, we’ll get you fitted for your new clear braces.
3. Once your custom-made braces are ready, your dentist will fit them. The process takes around an hour, and we’ll invite you back to our practice several times over the course of your treatment, to ensure your teeth are gradually moving into their correct new position.
4. After around six months, your dentist will remove your braces and you can show off your new smile. We recommend you wear a retainer, to ensure your teeth don’t revert back to their former position.
Six Month Smiles uses a low level of force to move your teeth gently into position, so you should only experience minimal discomfort throughout the treatment process.
Generally, we like to see patients around once a month throughout the course of the Six Month Smiles treatment process. That way your dentist can ensure your teeth are moving into their correct new position, and make any necessary adjustments.
This teeth straightening treatment has been developed for patients who want to straighten the teeth that are visible when they smile. The emphasis is on the cosmetic appearance of the front teeth, rather than the position of your bite and teeth at the back of your mouth, which makes the treatment process quicker than with traditional braces.
