What to expect at your child's check-up

Our state-of-the-art dental practice in Dartford boasts in-chair movies, with TVs recessed into the ceiling above the chairs for easy viewing, which can be a great distraction for children. Our Sonos speakers can also be used to stream their preferred music to help keep them calm.

We recommend bringing children in for a check-up when their first tooth erupts, or by their first birthday – whichever occurs first. In this way, we can keep an eye on their dental development and oral health, while also helping to get them used to visiting us.

You should also start brushing your child’s teeth with just a smear of fluoride toothpaste from when their first tooth appears. As with adults, this should be done twice a day. Again, this will help promote better oral hygiene, while instilling in them a positive attitude and good routines when it comes to looking after their teeth.
